What we do
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) aims to prepare undergraduate and post-graduate students for productive careers in industry, academia, and government by providing an excellent environment for teaching, learning, and research in the theory and applications of computing and information technology.

The target audience
Primarily for banners, websites, business cards, and stationery. The logo need not include any text since that can be added later for each of the above uses. But it is ok to include, e.g., "CSE" and/or "HKUST" if it is an integral part of the design.
We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo is for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). More info on the department can be found here:

We want a fresh new logo to replace the old disk logo on the page.
The background should be white.

We are currently open to both directions as well as any other interesting ideas proposed by designers.
