What we do
The Ford Flex is a unique crossover vehicle. We operate the largest Ford Flex enthusiast web site, [Login to view URL] , which is in no way related to Ford Motor Company. Our site caters to enthusiasts and owners alike, and contains specifications, member photo galleries, and of course the discussion forum.
Industry: Automotive

Things to communicate through the design
1. Professional
2. Trust
3. Quality

The target audience
The target audience is adult men and women, 97% of all visitors to the site are in North America. Most are fairly well off in regards to household income. They generally keep up with technology like Bluetooth, etc. but are NOT webmaster-type people. Some members of the site have kids, and previously owned a minivan, so these are family people. The Flex is a vehicle for people who need space for people and things but don't want to drive a minivan. For 93 forum posts on Flex demographics, see [Login to view URL]

Some terms that can describe the Flex, owners, and the site - Style, High-end, Elegant, Quality, Confident, Quiet, Powerful, Safety, Family, Trend-setting, Early-adopter, Trendy, Upscale, Rich, Custom, Unique, Professional, Mature, High-end. The Flex vehicle itself, sort of looks like an old fashioned boxy station wagon or even hearse from the side.

We like these fonts, colors and style
The logo will be used for all site branding so it needs to be fairly memorable and fairly simple. I do not want the logo to be overly complex because it will be scaled down on the web for various uses, and may even be put on mugs, hats, etc. At the same time I don't want it too simple.

Since the Flex (the vehicle) has a unique look to it, it may be good to incorporate the side profile or front profile, or some aspect of the vehicle in the logo. As for colors, there is a brownish-color that I use on the site, please keep it in mind #873118. I also use #4F4F4F (dark gray) and #FFFFFF (white). If you want to use other colors, go ahead but I may reject those entries if the colors are not complementary.

I would like to be provided with the original, vector graphic in case I ever want to make a change to the text, and a web-friendly version, of approximately 75px high (PNG format) with a variable width.

Logo must be professional and friendly.

Our design will be used on
